Whenever I tell people I'm in the social justice committee, they always give me this look that seems to say "What does that even mean?". I have to admit that for a few seconds after they ask me, I have no clue what to say. Then, I remember what came to my mind when I first saw a poster inviting students to join the committee in the first place. I thought : "Finally, I've found a group of people my age who want to make a difference in the world as much as I do!".


We're not superheroes or politicians. We're not doctors or wealthy corporate executives. Heck, a few of us can barely drive yet. We're a group of college students who are tired of simply watching and shaking our heads everytime another black kid gets shot by a white cop or helplessly criticizing politicians that care more about oil and economics than education and the environment. We are activists in the making and we strive for change.


This blog is here to open your minds, to inspire you and to bring you to the realization that such a change begins within each and every one of us. We're not saying it's going to be easy and we're definitely not saying that world peace can happen over night...but what better time is there to start than right now?
