Fight Child Slavery!

Do you remember what it was like to play, laugh and simply be care-free when you were a kid? Do you remember recess and playing hopscotch or soccer with friends? Don't you miss those days when you didn't understand in the least what the grown-ups were talking about and frankly didn't even care because their conversations always sounded boring anyway? Childhood was fun wasn't it? No war, no famine, no abuse...just sheer playful bliss.

Now, in this day and age, you should know that not every child has childhood memories that smell like their favorite blanky or teddy bear and look like their mother's face when she first told them they were going to Disney Land. In fact, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO), there are 8.4 billion children out there who are engaged in forms of labour resembling slavery... and we thought we had gotten rid of that centuries ago. Children all over the world are slaving  in the fields, handling dangerous weapons, working long hours in front of hazardous machines, being forced to stay home to clean around the house and pleasuring horny adults with their bodies ... instead of  playing outside with friends or going to school to learn their ABCs.

How can we still allow this in such a modern world? How can we stand by and watch as innocent lives are ruined before they've even begun? How can we pretend there's nothing we can do to change it when there is? If we all come together, there's no telling just how much we could accomplish.
